QOTD: Do you think couples can learn to communicate better by reading romance novels?

Personally, I think they can. While I don’t think that a romance novel will teach us everything we need to know, they do allow for better communication about expectations, wishes, boundaries, and dreams. They also give us the words when we don’t know where to start.

So, I decided to close out 2020 by reading one more romance novel to get all the cheesiness and hotness high out of my system ( who am I kidding I love these books). With that said, I picked up a copy of The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams, and found I couldn’t put it down until I read every single page.

This funny, quirky, and steamy novel follows Gavin as he attempts to win back his wife, Thea, after he reacted badly to the news that she had been faking orgasms during their entire marriage. After walking out, he is dragged into a romance book club where a group of men get together to read romance novels and discuss how to take those lessons back home to make their relationships great.

This book takes us on a beautiful journey as Gavin tries to convince Thea to take him back, while teaching them both to confront their traumas, their fears, and their insecurities or risk losing their soulmate and fracturing their family. This novel also shows us the power of friendship, of second chances, of fighting for true love.

I personally can’t wait to read the following books in this series and get to know the Bromance book club better.
