Favorite Books

I must admit that I am a huge classic lit fan. My favorite books include Pride & Prejudice, Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby, The Old Man and the Sea, and One Hundred Years of Solitude.

Favorite Place to Read

I was lucky enough to grow up in Florida, so I used to love reading at the beach. I have since relocated to Nebraska and now love reading by the fireplace on a snowy day. Regardless of where I am, I still love reading out in nature.

Favorite Book Accessory

Bookmarks are my favorite book accessories. I have more bookmarks than actual books since I collect them from everywhere I visit. A good bookmark always helps me set the mood for a new reading adventure.

Time Spent Reading

The time I dedicate to reading has varied a lot over the years. When I was younger I would read all the time and often carried a book with me in case I had some down time. My pleasure reading habits took a big hit when I entered grad school. At UCF, I spent most of my time reading research articles and books on instructional design.

Eventually, after I finished school and got my career started, I found my way back to books. I now read whenever possible. There are weeks when I read every day and weeks where I only get to read a few hours. Regardless, I always find myself making time to read whenever I need it most.
