In a Holidaze

If you were stuck in a time-loop, who would you try to tell?

As usual this novel by Christina Lauren was a home run. In a Holidaze, was everything I needed this holiday season. Like my favorite sweater, I was able to slip into this story and instantly find warmth and comfort. While the magical time-loop is a new twist, you can still find the same humor, joy, and steamy romance we have all come to know and expect from a Christina Lauren novel. Mae and Andrew’s relationship shows us the beauty in falling in love with our best friend.

Additionally Mae’s character reminds us of how important it is to have dreams and to fight for them, otherwise it will always feel like the universe is working against you. If you are simply a spectator to your own life, then are you truly living it? This novel shows us the importance of friendship, of having strong support groups, of keeping traditions but not at the expense of achieving growth, of finding comfort in the known but not at expense of running from the unknown, of speaking our truths, of owning up to our mistakes/choices, and of fighting for our own happiness.

This holiday season I truly recommend reading this novel...you won’t regret it.
